Decoding Power Dynamics – Making Experiences Visible: Between HIV, Origin, and Class
An introduction to intersectionality as an analysis of overlapping power structures (e.g., HIV status, gender, origin, class, sexuality, drug use). Using practical examples and personal stories, we examine the impacts on healthcare, community cohesion, and political participation, and develop initial actionable ideas for discrimination-sensitive, participatory services in AIDS and self-help organizations.
