Diversity in Aging – Intersectional Insights from the 9th Federal Government Report on Aging
This presentation highlights key findings from the German government’s 9th Ageing Report from an intersectional perspective. It focuses on the lived realities of older LGBTI individuals, the interplay of different forms of discrimination, and the impact of ageism on social participation, health, and care in later life. The talk will address structural inequalities and existing needs for action to promote diverse and discrimination-sensitive aging.
